ABILENE, Texas — An apartment fire on South 25th Street was ruled accidental in nature by the Abilene Fire Department.
Crews responded to a structure fire call at around 9:56 p.m. Thursday in the 2800 block of South 25th. When they got to the scene, AFD crews reported smoke coming from a downstairs apartment. The fire was contained to the apartment where it originated.
No one was home at the time of the fire that caused an estimated $10,000 in damages.
Abilene Fire Department said one occupant was displaced as a result of the fire, but no injuries were reported. The Red Cross was notified.
