ABILENE, Texas — A residential fire caused an estimated $200,000 early Sunday morning, according to the Abilene Fire Department.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. Sunday, AFD crews responded to the 1900 block of North 5th Street in reference to a residential structure fire.
On arrival, the crews reported smoke and fire conditions coming from the top story of the structure.
Suppression and search efforts were taken containing the fire to the structure and revealing the structure was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
The AFD says the fire is still under investigation.
