Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Knickerbocker Road

Medics with the San Angelo Fire Department transported the man to Shannon Medical Center, where he was later flown out of town for a higher level of care.

At 4:49  On 11/21/2024 at 4:49 a.m. San Angelo Police and Fire department resources were dispatched to the 2100 Block of S. Bryant Blvd after a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

According to an SAPD press release, officers arrived and located a 48-year-old man who had been struck by a vehicle and was in serious condition. Medics with the San Angelo Fire Department transported the man to Shannon Medical Center, where he was later flown out of town for a higher level of care. 

The investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle was turning from Knickerbocker Road to travel north on Bryant Blvd., where he then struck the man in the far outside lane. Police said the man had been walking with the flow of traffic in the middle of the roadway when he was struck.

He remains in critical condition at this time.
