TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas — A 27-year-old California man died Sunday night after the semi-truck he was driving overturned on Interstate 20 in Taylor County.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said in a preliminary crash report that the crash happened at around 8:55 p.m. Sunday on I-20 at milepost 262, around 13 miles west of Trent.
Balra Singh, 27, of Redwood City, California, was traveling east on I-20 in a semi-truck pulling a trailer when DPS says he failed to drive in a single lane and drove off the north side of the road. Singh steered back to the south trying to get back onto the roadway. He crossed the southside of the roadway, crossed the south access road and overturned.
The crash report said Singh was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
