TEXAS, USA — There is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for a large portion of our viewing area until 10 p.m.

There have been several thunderstorms across the area so far this evening, and I will continue to keep an eye on the chance for severe thunderstorms. Large hail looks to be the main threat, but I can't rule out an isolate tornado.

Any thunderstorm activity looks to be over for our area by midnight, so we should have a calm and cloudy start to the day weather wise.

I am expecting storm initiation along the dry line Friday and Saturday as well. Friday night, large hail and damaging winds will be the main threat, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out either. Saturday looks to be mostly a heavy rain threat, but of course we'll keep you update.

Next week looks to start off calm, but very warm.
