Downtown San Angelo, Inc. to host one-time concert and fireworks event

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Downtown San Angelo, Inc., announced Tuesday it will host a one-time special event to celebrate Independence Day.

“A Star-Spangled Banner Concert & Fireworks “ will happen Saturday, July 3, at the Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial RiverStage, 16 E. Avenue A, hosted by Downtown San Angelo, Inc. According to a DTSA press release, in keeping with tradition, gates will open at noon and the event is free and open to the public.

Performances will begin 6:30 p.m. with live musical entertainment from the San Angelo Community Band, Mariachi Alma Mexicana, West Texas Jazz Ensemble, and the renowned Air Force Band of the West from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

An “after party” and dance will be held until midnight with a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, Forever Mac.
