SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association issued a statement Wednesday saying the event will take place Feb. 4-21, 2021.

"We are currently planning a full event, with the same rodeo format, full livestock show, and midway activities. We will continue to monitor the regulations facing events with the most current COVID-19 guidelines," the statement read.

According to the SASSRA, ticket sale dates have been pushed later for the upcoming year in hopes capacity limits will be increased for events in February in the near future. New season ticket holders are not being accepted, but interested parties can be placed on a waiting list should seats become available. To be placed on the season ticket waiting list, call the stock show and rodeo office.

Box seats will not be available, according to the statement.

"We will continue to look at an array of options regarding seating for the rodeo events if capacity limits remain in place. We will work together as an association with the numerous other folks involved in the event, from carnival providers, food vendors, exhibitors, 4-H and FFA leaders, etc. to provide a safe 2021 event," the statement read.

The SASSRA said it will keep the public informed as plans progress, but asks for patience as its staff is working its hardest "to make 2021 another incredible San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo."
