CHINA SPRING, Texas — It’s time to spin the wheel! A China Spring woman put her knowledge, wit and luck to the test as she competed on Wheel of Fortune on Thursday, Oct. 12, bringing home a big win in the process.
After solving the puzzle with "fluffy rabbit" for $40,000 in the bonus round, Debra Mollé went home with a grand total of $60,250!
Mollé described her love of the legendary game show and her journey to becoming a contestant.
"Watching Wheel of Fortune has been a real staple in our household and I thought I should apply,” said Mollé. “I’m solving all these puzzles in my living room and getting all upset when people can’t solve them."
So Mollé applied. Her son filmed a video and sent it in. She got a call back to take a personality test and later got an email saying she had been chosen to be a contestant
"I thought it was a spam. I was making sure it was a verified email, and sure enough, I booked my ticket and was there," said Mollé.
So off to California she went for a chance to spin that iconic wheel.

"We did a lot of role-playing, practice spins, practice clapping, practice and smiling. We filmed some commercials. We did a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff," said Mollé.
Then it was time to meet Pat Sajak and Vanna White.
"She was sweet. Pat Sajak was really funny, very personable, very natural. They are both great."
It is an experience Mollé will never forget.
"There's only three things in my life I can really say wow to. That was my wedding, giving birth to my son JJ and being on Wheel of Fortune,” said Mollé.
Mollé said it was even more special to be chosen considering this is Pat Sajak’s last season hosting the show.
