San Angelo Bank of America locations will close Dec. 3

San Angelo's Bank of America locations will shutter Dec. 3 leaving only ATM and online services available for local customers.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — In August, local Bank of America customers received emails informing them that the San Angelo Bank of America locations will be closing Dec. 3. On that date, face-to-face teller and drive-thru services in San Angelo will cease.

As Dec. 3 gets closer, local customers are being directed towards B.O.A. online and mobile banking, as well as banking by phone, text and direct deposit. The closest location for teller, loan and other banking needs will be at the Abilene location, 2200 S. 27th St.

FOX West Texas reached out to several local financial institutions to see if incentives were being offered to Bank of America customers wishing to close their accounts and switch to a bank/credit union with San Angelo locations.

Of the banks we reached out to, First Financial Bank was the only one offering an incentive for the switch. For more information, go to its website.
