ABILENE, Texas — Air base authorities responded to an incident Wednesday afternoon at a base housing on Virginia Street. The Abilene Police Department and Security Forces searched the Hampton Hills area for an armed individual who fled the base over a fence.
APD provided an update Wednesday evening informing that officers searched the area thoroughly and did not locate the suspect. The search was called off, however a heavy police presence will remain through the evening.
The suspect is described as a white male, with short brown hair, approximately 5'8", and was seen wearing a long sleeve black shirt with blue jeans.
The APD is asking anyone who sees the suspect or has any information to call 673-8311 or 9-1-1.
