ABILENE, Texas — Authorities investigating crimes against children are seeking possible victims of a man arrested last week in Stamford.
On Thursday, May 23, 2019, detectives with the Abilene Police Department's Cyber Crimes Unit arrested four individuals for crimes against children, including the arrest of Russell Alan Baize, 63, of Stamford.
Baize was charged with third-degree felony online solicitation of a minor and Class B misdemeanor prostitution.
Through the ongoing investigation, detectives learned of a young female Baize came into contact with, and possibly other underage children he may have targeted. According to an APD release, he was very active on social media, targeting underage children; and was also active in the livestock community showing pigs at shows around the area.
Anyone with reason to believe that they or their child may have been targeted, or had any contact with Baize, is urged to contact the APD Cyber Crimes detectives directly, by calling 325-676-6610 and referencing Russell Alan Baize. Callers may leave a message with a name and phone number where detectives may call, if no one answers.
