ABILENE, Texas — On Friday afternoon, Mayor Williams, AISD and Wylie ISD held a press conference to discuss COVID-19 in Abilene.
"Earlier today, I met with the administrative team of AISD and other school districts in the area to discuss the best way to allow students back to school after spring break," Dr.Young said.
Students will return to school Thursday and teachers will return Tuesday.
Both students and teachers will fill at forms indicating where they traveled over spring break to see if anyone is at risk before school is back in session.
"We will continue to move forward. If things change we will communicate that to you as quickly as possible. Everything we are working for is for the best for our staff, students and community," David Vinson added.
