Annual American Plains Artists show returns to Fort Concho

The annual American Plains Artists show will be held June 26 through Aug. 2 at the Fort Concho Quartermaster Building.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The annual American Plains Artists show will take place June 26 through Aug. 2 at the Fort Concho Quartermaster Building.

The annual show will feature paintings and sculptures from APA members who will come from 18 different states. The show will feature classic themes such as Western classic.

In a press release, the City of San Angelo said an opening sponsored by the Fort Concho Foundation is planned from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25, unless state and community gathering guidelines state otherwise. Refreshments and entertainment will be available.

Proceeds from the sale of paintings and sculptures will benefit artists, APA members and Fort Concho. 

The show is co-sponsored by APA and Fort Concho and will be held at the fort's Quartermaster building. The Quartermaster building was the first home of the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. 

The show will be free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1:30 p.m.to 4:30 p.m.
