Organizations provide assistance to residents following winter weather

Following a week of winter weather, some residents are faced with additional problems, such as repairs.

TEXAS, USA — Some residents across West Texas are facing additional problems following a week of winter weather. Here is a list of resources for assistance if need.

CONCHO VALLEY

Galilee Community Development Corporation is providing assistance for water pipes or heating repair because of the winter storm. For information about the repair program call 325-655-6700.

Concho Valley Suicide Prevention Coalition is available for people who feel they need counseling or feel they need to talk to someone can call the Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. Counselors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Rust Ministries, 803 Rust St., will open from 1 p.m to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21 for food distribution only. Residents are asked to wear a mask and if possible only one person per family go to the facility. It will open for normal hours, Monday, Feb. 22.
