SAN ANGELO, Texas — Work at the Southwest Boulevard low water crossing near McDonald's is scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 1.
According to a City of San Angelo release, the work will take approximately 60 days, pending any potential weather delays.
Access from Loop 306 frontage road to Green Meadow Drive and the rest of the Southland neighborhood will be closed.
There will be access to the business from the frontage road. Southwest Boulevard is open from Green Meadow to Twin Mountain drives.
Stormwater improvements made to low water crossings include installation of larger conveyance structures, raisin the roadway 2.5 to 3 feet and channeling improvements from Southwest Boulevard to Loop 306 frontage road.
Detour routes will be posted in the area and temporary traffic signals will be installed at the Twin Mountain Drive and Knickerbocker Road intersection to help with the anticipated increase in traffic.
The choice to begin this section of the project on June 1 centered around school being out for the summer, the release said.
