GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas — Those planning on visiting Goodfellow Air Force Base soon can expect some temporary changes to gate hours.
The South Gate on South Chadbourne Street will be closed for construction beginning June 20. During this time, the North Gate will be the primary entry point to include Visitor Control Center operations.
To accommodate increased traffic, the South Chadbourne Crash Gate (east of South Gate on Chadbourne St.) will be open during the following hours:
Inbound Traffic Only: Monday - Friday, 5:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Outbound Traffic Only: Monday - Friday, 3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.
The South Gate will be available for pedestrian traffic Monday - Friday, 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
The commercial vehicle gate will remain operational for commercial traffic.
