BRADY, Texas — UPDATE (March 30): According to Early Police Chief David Mercer, Ryan Graham turned himself in to the Runnels County Sheriff's Office on the warrant from the Early Police Department for evading arrest detention. The Brown County Sheriff's Office has other charges pending against Graham.
A vehicle allegedly stolen by Graham has not been found at this time.
ORIGINAL STORY: Brady and Menard law enforcement agencies are searching for a man who fled City of Early and Brownwood police departments.
According to a City of Early Police Department Facebook post, officers received a call at approximately 7 p.m. Saturday for reports of a reckless driver in the 1100 block of Early Boulevard.
The vehicle had been swerving from lane to lane and almost hit other vehicles.
Officer Tasha Tobias found the vehicle and tried to stop it, however, the driver fled continuing to drive fast and recklessly.
Brownwood Police Department officers tried to block intersections while the chase traveled west through Brownwood. The vehicle traveled into the county and began turning into county roads at a high rate of speed, according to the post.
Brown County's Sheriff's deputies, Texas Department of Public Safety and game wardens helped in trying to stop the vehicle.
The vehicle went through a fence on County Road 196 and crashed into a creek.
The driver fled on foot into the pastures, called 9-1-1 and advised dispatch to tell officers to stop chasing him or he would shoot himself or commit suicide by cop, the post said.
Officers set up a perimeter between Cheyenne Lane and County Road 156, where he had last been seen.
The suspect fired several shots on several occasions. An AK-47 with a broke stick was later located. The suspect dropped his driver's license while running and was identified as Ryan Christopher Graham from Menard.
Officers searched through the night using drones equipped with night vision, as well as DPS helicopter with night vision equipment, however, Graham was not found.
Graham was seen earlier with a pistol, so it was known he was still armed, the post said.
At one point the subject was seen by a witness who stated he was running naked through a pasture and carrying a backpack.
Early Sunday morning, it was learned that Graham had stolen a red dodge pickup and was last seen in Brady.
Brady and Menard law enforcement agencies are currently searching for Graham.
Graham should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone sees him, they should contact local law enforcement.
