MITCHELL COUNTY, Texas — UPDATE (10 p.m. Oct. 7): Escaped inmate Pedro Martinez was found at approximately 5:57 p.m. Oct. 7 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma by the U.S. Marshall Fugitive Task Force.
He will be held in the Oklahoma County Jail for the time being until he is taken back to Mitchell County, where he originally escaped from.
UPDATE (10:15 a.m. Oct. 5): According to DPS, Sheriff Patrick Toombs is reporting no change in the status of the escaped inmate, Pedro Martinez.
Law enforcement continues to investigate information and leads to find him.
There has not been a new sighting or report by citizens in the last 12 hours.

ORIGINAL STORY: Law enforcement authorities are looking for an inmate who escaped from the Mitchell County Jail Tuesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Pedro Martinez, 44, escaped at approximately 5 a.m. Tuesday. He was in the jail on drug trafficking charges.
Martinez is 5’8” and 180 lbs., with brown eyes, black hair with facial hair. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt and white with orange stripes pants with a white undershirt.
Colorado City residents and the surrounding area are urged to stay indoors, ensure that all vehicles are locked and keys secured and homes and outbuildings are locked.

Martinez is not reported to be dangerous, but the public is urged to be cautious.
