MARATHON, Texas — A man was arrested north of Marathon for smuggling "two illegal aliens from Mexico" Wednesday, Nov. 20, according to a Brewster County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) Facebook post.
A Brewster County deputy conducted a traffic stop and found the vehicle to be occupied by the driver, Angel Moreno Padron, and "two illegal aliens from Mexico."
Padron was arrested for two counts of smuggling of persons. He was booked into Brewster County jail.
According to BCSO, the "suspects from Mexico" were referred to U.S. Border Patrol agents.
