San Angelo man arrested on narcotics charges following a shooting investigation

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Police Department arrested a San Angelo man on the charges of First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 after a shooting in a northeast San Angelo neighborhood Wednesday.

Shortly after 7 p.m. SAPD officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Pulliam Street for reports of a shooting victim.

When officers arrived on scene they located 28-year-old Mark P. Crawley on the street with an apparent gun shot wound. Crawley was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers found and seized approximately 23 grams of suspected narcotics, which was field-tested for the presence of methamphetamine during a subsequent investigation. The investigation included a warrant search of Crawley's home located on the 1600 block of Spaulding Street.

Crawley did not provide details about how he was shot to investigators. He was charged after being released from medical care and then transported to the Tom Green County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing and no other information is available.
