San Angelo PD investigating Tuesday evening shooting on the city's north side

San Angelo Police were dispatched to a local hospital Tuesday evening on a report of a shooting victim.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — San Angelo Police Department Criminal Investigations detectives investigating a shooting that happened at residence in the 100 block of West 20th Street Tuesday, Aug. 20.

Police were dispatched to Shannon Medical Center just after 7 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a male shooting victim, age 42, who underwent emergency surgery. The man is reportedly in stable condition, according to a press release from the SAPD.

A preliminary investigation revealed the man entered the residence on West 20th Street and was shot by the residence’s 62-year-old male occupant.

This is an ongoing investigation and no additional information is available for release at this time.
