San Angelo police investigate early Monday shooting

SAPD detectives are investigating an early Monday morning shooting where a man was injured. It's believed the victim and suspect knew one another.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — San Angelo Police Department Criminal Investigations Division detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning at the Arden Ridge Apartments, 3801 Arden Road.

Police were dispatched to the location at approximately 2 a.m. for the report of a shooting victim.

A preliminary investigation showed a male suspect shot a 24-year-old San Angelo man. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

According to a press release from the SAPD, the victim and suspect are believed to be acquaintances. No arrests have been made in the case.

This is an active investigation and no further information is available.
