SAN ANGELO, Texas — San Angelo Police are investigating an early Friday morning vehicular assault near Central High School.

According to an SAPD news release, at approximately 3 a.m. Friday, officers were sent to the area of the intersection of Caddo and Cottonwood streets in reference to what was initially reported as a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.

Further investigation revealed that the victim, a 32-year-old man, was possibly intentionally struck by the vehicle, driven by a 28-year-old male subject.

The victim and suspect know each other, according to the release, and the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence, nor does there appear to be a danger to the public at-large.
