SAPD Street Crimes Division seizes drugs, stolen guns and stolen vehicles at San Angelo hotels

SAN ANGELO, Texas — On Wednesday, Jan. 22, investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division conducted search warrant operations at the Super 8 by Wyndham, 410 W. Avenue L, and the Wingate by Wyndham, 3620 S. Jackson St.

Several subjects were detained during the two searches, which led to the seizure of just under two lbs. of suspected methamphetamine; a quantity of suspected heroin; marijuana; U.S. currency; three firearms (one of which was confirmed as stolen out of Brownwood); and two stolen vehicles from San Angelo and Austin.

Federal conspiracy charges are pending the outcome of the SAPD's ongoing investigation.

Members of the department’s Criminal Investigations and Patrol divisions, K-9 Unit, and the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted with Wednesday’s operations.
