SAN ANGELO, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Abilene/San Angelo is watching the forecast carefully Wednesday afternoon. The mercury will rise to the mid-to-upper 90s with mostly sunny skies.
While that might not seem so bad, or manageable for West Texans, the dew point temperatures will be high making it feel a lot hotter than the actually air temperature.
When you factor in the heat and humidity, that gives us an apparent temperature, or what it feels like. When you consider that, the map below is what it will actually feel like in the afternoon.
