BRECKENRIDGE, Texas — A Breckenridge Independent School District employee has resigned after a report of improper electronic communications between an employee and student.
In an email statement, the district said, "Breckenridge ISD is investigating concerns regarding alleged improper electronic communications between an employee and a student. The employee has resigned and the District is cooperating with the Breckenridge Police Department, which continues to investigate the matter. This appears to be an isolated incident and the parents of the student in question have been contacted. The District cannot provide further details as this is a confidential student matter and personnel matter, but as always the safety of students remains first and foremost."
