Abilene-Taylor Co. Public Health District confirms 288th COVID-19-related death Saturday

The health district said there were 58 new confirmed COVID-19 cases.

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed the 288th COVID-19-related death - a man in his 60s - in Taylor County Saturday.

The health district also reported 58 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 36 PCR and 22 antigen.

There were 83 recoveries included in the report. This brings the total number of recoveries in Taylor County to 12,630.

Forty-six hospitalizations were included in the report. 

According to a release from the City, hospitalization details for Feb. 6 were not available at the time of the release.

Taylor County has administered 50,821 PCR and 70,543 antigen tests, of which, 6,810 PCR and 7,898 antigen tests were confirmed cases.

Additionally, 44,011 negative PCR and 62,645 negative antigen test results were reported.
