Abilene-Taylor Co. Public Health District confirms five more COVID-19-related deaths Wednesday

The health district reported 30 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 42 hospitalizations and 155 recoveries.

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District reported five additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Wednesday.

This brings the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 295.

According to the health district, the patients were a woman in her 60s, 2 men in their 80s, a man in his 60s and a man in his 70s.

No further information about the patients was available at the time of the release.

The health district also reported 30 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - five PCR and 25 antigen.

There were 155 recoveries reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 12,947.

The report included 42 hospitalizations.

There have been 50,875 PCR and 72,075 antigen tests administered in Taylor County. Of those tests, 6,825 PCR and 7,951 antigen tests were confirmed cases.

Additionally, 44,050 negative PCR and 64,124 negative antigen test results were reported.
