ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed six additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Thursday.
The new deaths bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 232.
The patients were:
- a man in his 50s with pre-existing health conditions
- a woman in her 50s with pre-existing health conditions
- a man in his 60s. It was unknown if he had pre-existing health conditions.
- a woman in her 40s. It was unknown if she had pre-existing health conditions.
- a woman in her 70s with pre-existing health conditions
- a woman in her 60s. It was unknown if she had pre-existing health conditions.
The health district also reported 184 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 66 PCR and 118 antigen.
There were 113 recoveries also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 10,070.
One-hundred-thirty-four total hospitalizations were included in the report.
There have been 44,565 PCR and 59,607 antigen tests administered in Taylor County, of which, 5,826 PCR and 7,006 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
There were also 38,739 negative PCR and 52,601 negative antigen test results reported.
