ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District reported three additional COVID-19-related deaths Friday.
The new deaths bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 254.
The patients were a man in his 80s with pre-existing health conditions; a man in his 80s with pre-existing health conditions and a woman in her 70s.
According to the health district, it is unknown if the woman in her 70s had pre-existing health conditions.
The health district said there were 89 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 22 PCR and 67 antigen.
There were 40 recoveries also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 10,807.
One-hundred-seventeen hospitalizations were included in the report.
There have been 45,544 PCR and 63,593 antigen tests administered in Taylor County, of which, 6,197 PCR and 7,433 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
Additionally, 39,347 negative PCR and 56,160 negative antigen test results were reported.
