SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State University released results Friday from COVID-19 tests administered to students and personnel coming back to its campus.

According to an ASU press release, the university hosted the Texas Division of Emergency Management and Texas Military Department from Aug. 10-14 and administered PCR tests to students and personnel.

The release also said test results were recently reported to the health department and positive cases have been in isolation. They have also been in contact with health authorities and most positive cases have already been released.

The results from tests administered from Aug. 10-14 are:

  • Total tested: 658
  • Negative: 631
  • Undetermined: 10
  • Positive: 17

An undetermined test result generally implies a clear positive or negative result could not be detected. In some cases, because there was a problem with the sample or technical issue.

ASU will have TDEM on campus Sept. 9-10 to test students as they come back from the Labor Day weekend. The university said it will release the results as soon as they receive them.

The results reported are included in Angelo State University's total reported cases at angelo.edu/covid19.
