ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed the 279th COVID-19-related death - a man in his 60s - in Taylor County Sunday.
The health district also reported 21 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - five PCR and 16 antigen.
There were 137 recoveries were also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 11,851.
Sixty-four hospitalizations were included in the report.
As of Jan. 31, Taylor County has administered 50,278 PCR and 68,348 antigen tests. Of those tests, 6,655 PCR and 7,762 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
Additionally, 43,923 negative PCR and 60,586 negative antigen test results were reported.
