COVID-19-related deaths rise to 275 in Taylor Co. Friday

Two COVID-19-related deaths, 154 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 63 hospitalizations were reported.

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District reported two additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Friday.

The patients were a man in his 70s and a man in his 80s. 

The new deaths bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 275.

No additional information about the patients was available at the time of the release. 

The health district reported 154 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 110 PCR and 44 antigen.

There were 76 recoveries were also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 11,673.

There were 63 hospitalizations included in the report.

As of Jan. 29, Taylor County has administered 50,522 PCR and 67,601 antigen tests, of which, 6,627 PCR and 7,703 antigen tests were confirmed cases.

Additionally, 43,895 negative PCR and 59,898 negative antigen test results were reported.
