The Abilene-Taylor County Health District reported four additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Saturday.
The new deaths bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths to 258 in Taylor County.
According to the health district the patients were:
- a man in his 50s, with pre-existing health conditions
- a woman in her 80s, with pre-existing health conditions
- a man in his 60s, with pre-existing health conditions
- a woman in her 60s, with pre-existing health conditions.
The health district reported 147 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 97 PCR and 50 antigens.
There were also 15 recoveries reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 10,822.
According to the health district, the number of hospitalizations was not available at the time of the release.
There have been 45,667 PCR and 64,109 antigen tests administered in Taylor County, of which, 6,294 PCR and 7,484 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
Additionally, 39,373 negative PCR and 56,625 negative antigen test results reported.
