SAN ANGELO, Texas — Laughlin Air Force Base will have a special flyover for San Angelo between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, May 21, to salute local heroes, medical and first responders, who are fighting against the coronavirus.
“We are honored and excited the flyover will salute the hard working medical professionals and essential workers in San Angelo,” Col. Andres Nazario, Goodfellow Air Force Base 17th Training Wing commander, said in a press release. “These men and woman have been on the forefront of the coronavirus pandemic and we want to appreciate their tireless efforts and say thank you.”
Laughlin is the home of 47th Training Wing where pilot training occurs using T-6, T-38 and T-1A aircrafts.
More information regarding flight patterns will be released as soon as it becomes available. a release from GAFB said.
