ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed the 169th COVID-19-related death in Taylor County Friday.
According to a release, the patient was a man in his 50s and it was unknown if he had pre-existing health conditions.
The health district reported 171 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 45 PCR and 126 antigen.
There were 157 recoveries reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7,542.
One-hundred total hospitalizations were included in the report.
As of Dec. 18, Taylor County has administered 36,792 PCR and 47,139 antigen tests. Of those tests, 4,505 PCR and 5,595 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
There were also 32,287 negative PCR and 41,544 negative antigen test results reported.
