One new COVID-19 case in Tom Green County

A female in her teens is the latest reported case of COVID-19. The City of San Angelo said her case is classified as community spread.

TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — According to the City of San Angelo's Public Information Office, there is one new positive case of COVID-19 as of Thursday, April 16.

The newest case is a teenage female and has been classified as a case of community spread. The latest case brings the county's total to 41 confirmed.

There have been a total of 1,027 tests administered in Tom Green County. Thirty-three of those are pending and 953 have returned with negative results. 

Twenty-nine cases are being actively monitored; and 11 have been released. One COVID-19 related death has been reported.
