ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed two additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Wednesday.
The patients were a man in his 70s with pre-existing health conditions and a man in his 60s. It was unknown if the 60-year-old man had pre-existing health conditions at the time of the report.
The new deaths bring the total number of deaths in Taylor County to 167.
The health district reported 125 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 65 PCR and 60 antigen.
There were 163 recoveries also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7,248.
One-hundred total hospitalizations were included in the report.
There have been 36,591 PCR and 45,532 antigen tests administered in Taylor County. Of those tests, 4,418 PCR and 5,438 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
Additionally, there were 32,173 negative PCR and 40,094 antigen test results reported.
