WIC is going paperless and this is what the new cards will look like.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program has temporarily halted in-person appointments in response to concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19.

A statement from WIC said, "The health and well-being of our clients and staff is our top priority. Due to the growing concerns surrounding COVID-19, we will no longer be taking in-person appointments. If you need to apply or re-apply for benefits, please apply online at TexasWIC.org.

For questions, food package changes, classes, or loading a WIC card please email us at WIC@cosatx.us."

WIC is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children, up to age 5, eat well, learn about nutrition and stay healthy. Help with breastfeeding and accessing healthcare, as well as other needs are provided to those who qualify.

The local program serves San Angelo, Tom Green County and all six surrounding counties, supporting foster parents or grandparents, single parents, military personnel, and others.
