ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene Christian University Debate Team is hosting the International Public Debate Association’s National Convention and Championship Tournament April 8 through April 11 in the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building on the ACU campus.
This will be the first in-person national tournament since 2019.
Approximately 400 competitors and coaches representing 45 colleges and universities from 18 states, plus more than 70 judges and assistant coaches will be in attendance.
This is the 25th year of the IPDA organization. The Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates the IPDA National Tournament will have an economic impact of $214,200 for the City of Abilene.
