Abilene Police Department sponsors free movie night at the Paramount Theatre

Abilene and Wylie area students will be able to meet others who share an affinity for elf culture.

ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene Police Department is teaming up with the Historic Paramount Theatre to provide a free movie night for students in Abilene and Wylie.

Students attending any school in the Abilene or Wylie area are invited to attend a screening of the 2003 Christmas movie "Elf" starring Will Ferrell.

Popcorn and drink will also be free for those attending.

• Monday, Dec. 20, 2021

• 5:30 p.m. Doors open

• 6 p.m. Movie start time

• Historic Paramount Theater, 352 Cypress St.

Officers will welcome students to the theater, work concessions, help with seating and chaperone.

Students 12 and under will require a parent or guardian to accompany the student.

No prior registration is required, students simply need to arrive at the theater before the start of the movie. Parents are welcome to attend with their child.
