SAN ANGELO, Texas — The funeral for the marine has been made more impactful. The Veteran’s Land Board has been trying for days to find a next-of-kin to receive the flag at the end of the funeral but has been unable to track anyone down… until this morning. Private Bob Wood’s niece and nephew found out about their uncle’s passing through an email from a friend in Idaho. They live in the DFW area and made the trip, arriving at 9 a.m. on the day of the funeral. They say the support shown for their uncle is powerful and says something about the community.
