ABILENE, Texas — Abilene water utility customers who have experienced leaks after the winter storm can have their bills adjusted with repair receipts.
According to the City of Abilene Water Utilities Department it provides billing adjustments for customers who have experienced a leak and made the necessary repairs.
Once the repair has been completed, customers can contact the Water Utility Customer Service Center and request an adjustment. To qualify for a leak adjustment, customers will be asked to provide receipts and/or proof of repairs.
For leaks that happened in February, customers can expect to have their bill reduced to their typical wintertime average consumption.
