The City of Abilene will continue spraying for mosquitos between 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, and 2 a.m. Friday, weather permitting.

City staff will spray a remaining untreated area in the 79602 ZIP code after a mosquito tested positive for the West Nile virus during routine trapping and testing. Rain delayed a planned follow-up to the initial round of spraying, which took place Aug. 29.
