Christmas is coming to Hardin-Simmons University

The free annual Christmas party is open to students, staff and the public Nov. 30.

ABILENE, Texas — Christmas is coming to Hardin-Simmons University. 

Get ready for music performances, Christmas cookies, ornament-making and more at 5 p.m. Nov. 30 on Anderson Lawn.

The start of the event involves a free meal for faculty, staff and their guests. 

Then at 6:30 p.m., university members and the public are welcome to experience free outdoor festivities including HSU concert choir, theatre, jazz band, Cowboy Band and the Six White Horses performances. 

The evening will include photos with Santa along with smores, cocoa, cider, Christmas cookies and ornament-making at Dyess Welcome Center/Hunter Hall, 800 Arnold Blvd. 

The nativity story will also be told following a Christmas tree lighting for the holiday season.

Hickory Street will be closed for entry but all other points of access will remain available.
