ABILENE, Texas — A fire on the 2600 block of South 41st Street in Abilene caused an estimated $150,000 in damages to Abilene homes Friday, June 7.
When Abilene Fire Department crews got to the location, smoke and flames could be seen coming from one home. Strong winds cause a home to the west of the initial reported fire to also be affected.
Because of the multiple exposures involved, a second alarm was called with additional units responding to the scene. Then, a third alarm was eventually called to bring in fresh firefighters and allow the initial responding crews to rehab.
