ABILENE, Texas — An Abilene residence caught fire Oct. 22 and damages are still unknown.
According to the Abilene Fire Department, the fire began at approximately 11:39 a.m. on the 600 block of Butternut Street.
Crews responded to the scene of a two-story structure completely in flames, and 16 off duty workers were asked to help with a defensive attack.
Currently, AFD is still on scene.
It is advised to avoid the area at this time. We will provide any updates as they are made available.
