ABILENE, Texas — Abilene drivers can expect a detour at westbound Interstate 20 near the FM 600 overpass just before the Old Anson Road exit beginning Tuesday.
A Texas Department of Transportation contractor will close the outside lane of westbound traffic for construction. The entrance ramp just after the Grape Street exit will also be closed during the construction.
Drivers are asked to use caution in the area, obey warning and speed signs, slow down, avoid distractions and watch for crews and equipment entering or exiting the work zone.
The area will be reopened Tuesday, April 16, weather permitting.
