ABILENE, Texas — Abilene residents who live in the city's north side won't have to travel across town for lab work.
On Thursday, Feb. 1, Hendrick Health opened a seventh outpatient laboratory for the convenience of north side customers.
The new location is at Cedar Mall, 1150 N. 18th St., on the first floor - just south of Hendrick Medical Center. Hours of service are from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. Cedar Mall's outpatient laboratory is a convenient location for not only patients of the healthcare providers in the building but also any patient with a physician’s lab order.
Adding a new location will also have a positive impact on wait times for services at the other Hendrick Health outpatient laboratories, located at:
- Hendrick Medical Center, Jones Building, 1924 Pine St. Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
- Hickory Center, 1850 Hickory St., Suite 100. Hours: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
- Hendrick Medical Center South Outpatient Pavilion, 6250 Hwy 83/84, northeast doors. Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
- Lancaster Medical Plaza, 5302 Buffalo Gap Road. Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
- Hendrick Regional Lab, 1701 Pine St., Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday; 7:30 a.m. – noon, Saturday.
- Medical Office Building, 1680 Antilley Road, Suite 240. Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Thursday; 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday.
Walk-ins are welcome at each location. Patients should check with their provider whether their lab order requires a specific location.
