5-year-old boy at center of AMBER Alert found

A boy at the center of an AMBER Alert was found Friday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

An AMBER Alert was issued for a 5-year-old boy who was last seen in northwest Houston on Thursday night, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS said the boy was last seen at 9 p.m. on Antoine Drive near Birchmont Drive. He is believed to be in grave and immediate danger, according to law enforcement.

DPS said the boy was last seen with Jose Calderon Arias, 60. Arias is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Arias’ connection to the boy was not released.

DPS also released a new description of the vehicle Friday night. They are believed to be in a silver 2014 Honda Civic with South Carolina license plate number 789ADV. 

The alert comes from the Suffolk County Police Department in New York where the boy is from. Anyone with information regarding this child abduction should call 911 first and then contact the Suffolk County Police at 631-854-8345.
